The Great Outdoors is Greater Than Ever

At PR Ranch, we offer a unique experience for everyone. Located in La Jara, our two and a half miles of private river are perfect for fishing, camping, and shooting. We have five Airbnb listings, including a cabin, a fifth wheel, and three river-front campsites with fire pits. Everyone is welcome and accepted here, and we even offer horse and dog-friendly options. Our ranch has been around for five years and we pride ourselves on providing a unique and memorable experience to all of our guests. We also offer ranch experiences, such as fly fishing excursions and dinner experiences with a classically-trained chef. Come explore our ranch and all that it has to offer.

    Best camping trip we’ve had in our 5 years in colorado. The owner is always

    available if you need anything and the access to the land is incredible. Beautiful

    river to enjoy an afternoon at or fish. The dogs can roam free off leash and the

    hospitality makes it the easiest camping you’ll experience. Truly like living on a

    ranch, you can’t beat it.

    Great location ! If you are a fly fisherman this is the spot for you ! It’s a bit of a

    drive (30 mins ) from any town, but you won’t notice with the gorgeous views the

    San Luis Valley offers ! If you like dogs , the owner has an awesome dog that we

    enjoyed having around !

    We had such a great time at the PR Ranch! We knew about following the directions

    beforehand and not the GPS so that wasn't a problem finding. It's pretty accurate.

    We arrived a little later than planned but got to meet Glenn waiting for us at the

    property. Glenn is great and an awesome host. It was really nice meeting him. We

    took our golden with us and she had the time of her life - thanks to Pavi, the ranch

    labernese! Such a friendly dog... kept us company the entire time. We tried fishing

    but it was not the season but still caught one trout. The camper is old but wellkept and clean - it was great for us. The bed is comfortable and the kitchen pretty

    spacious. It was great time spent there and we hope to return again. Thanks

    Really neat country and a great bunch of people! Glenn is a dynamic host that I

    encourage you to sit and visit with if you get the chance. He went out of his way to

    make our stay special, and we truly appreciated it. His dogs were also great and got along really well with our medium sized dog.

    We were lucky enough to meet some of the guys who work on the ranch too.

    Really enjoyed learning the history of the area from Johnny the ranch foreman.

    Also would recommend supporting a local young man named Trey with his guiding

    endeavors. I encourage you to inquire about fishing with him, he’s a very kind soul.

    Overall we loved the place, and spent a lot of time on the river. The rainbow trout

    were plentiful, and it is pretty hard to beat private river frontage. When the bite

    slowed down we tied up a tube and just enjoyed soaking it all in. We hope to return

    someday.
